As the daughter, mother, cousin, friend, niece, and (ex) wife of military members (only child, so that’s probably why I’m not a sister of a service member, and the male family members wouldn’t let me join…long story), when I received notice about this event, I had to post right away!
BLT Burger at the Mirage will be doing something awesome for service people this coming Veterans Day, Monday, November 11.
BLT will offer any veteran or member of the active military a 50% discount for parties of two or less, or 25% discount for parties of three or more off the total check. Fifty percent. That’s pretty awesome.
While I’m no fan of the Mirage – their policies did awful things to the first half of my staycation with The Wineaux Guy™ – I will support any business who supports those who put their lives on the line for us.
And now, a little unabashed advertising that I received from their promoter. I don’t mind; look what they’re doing!
ABOUT BLT Burger Las Vegas
BLT Burger brings casual attitude, hip burgers and cool milkshakes to The Mirage in Las Vegas. A circular open kitchen lets guests watch while their burgers are grilled to perfection, customized with cheeses, and made with a wide range of stackable toppings. The lively bar offers 20 beers on tap, along with house cocktails and a carefully chosen selection of wine. A series of flat-screens offer a 180-degree window for the best in sports, while rock ‘n’ roll music creates an energetic environment for lunch, dinner or a late-night bite. (Note from Irene: Okay – if you want to bypass the Mirage and go straight to their site, just Click Here)
Offering a variety of choices including beef, American Wagyu, lamb and Atlantic salmon, each burger is served on soft buns with classic, delicious toppings. Specialty burgers include the Tex-Mex, Lamb Tandoori and Buffalo Chicken. Choose from a number of sides from fried pickles and jalapeño poppers to five types of fries and rings. And no meal is complete without one of our famous milkshakes—the perfect complement to any BLT burger. Milkshakes are available in classic American flavors as well as special spiked varieties, like the Grandma’s Treat, a delicious blend of Maker’s Mark, caramel and vanilla ice cream.
So if you’re a Vet, you have a place to go that’s really nice. On a normal day, a check at BLT Burger will set you back about 20 bones, so you can even eat in a fancy place like that on a budget. It will be even better on Monday. Not bad!
