Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator are arguably the burly boys of the wine magazine world. They and their tasters can make or break the reputation of a winery (deserved or not…but that’s a debate that will never be resolved) by the flick of a pen.

In between there will be roaming the California coast from Santa Barbara to Solvang, Paso Robles to Monterey. My cameras and notepads are at the ready, and I’m jonesing for adventure.
The first problem that I had to address was my singular, well-known ability to get lost in a small room. I call it being directionally challenged. The Wineaux Guy™ calls it hopeless.
So until I find a place that I can settle into – and be reasonably certain that the owner won’t change his mind and kick me out because someone else showed up with the bottomless wallet – my Paso Robles Getaway posts may sound more like pity parties.
Paso Robles Getaway – Doing Something Wine-y
So I’m in search of another place to rent. Something as insignificant as not having a roof over my head won’t deter me from visiting Paso! Unless, of course, it rains a lot and I’ve done my hair.
Lotto or Megabucks luck notwithstanding (I know, I know – I actually have to play), if it were at all possible, I’d retire there in a heartbeat and call it home.
