Rant Rant Rant Rant. My Opinion. And I Share It.

I will admit that some Napa Chards have exceeded the idea of balance in favor of the overdone ("What was that vintage? 2006 Louisville Slugger? Yum!")

Robert Parker, Wine, and Menopause

So why is it that the overwhelming majority of official wine tasters and critics are men? It's not because they're better at the sniffing or tasting. It's because they have better memories. And because they don’t go through menopause.

Following Zach

Zach is my oldest son, and he was born a Wineaux. Erena, my daughter, likes wine, but is busy running after two children and doesn't yet have the luxury of enjoying a glass of really fine wine on a regular basis. My youngest son, Matt, likes beer. {{{sigh}}}

Old Vegas, the Trop, UnWine, and Me

I had learned about the wine event through Vegas4Locals, a company that keeps us locals up to date on events going on in town. I'm always looking for wine stuff, so this was a treat. At $25, the price was more than reasonable, especially for a Strip property. As soon as I strolled into the pool area, I knew I'd done the right thing. The venue was gorgeous.
