While whether I’m actually nuts or not may be a topic of endless debate, the fact that the one resolution (out of two) that I made for myself is actually carrying through the new year. And that resolution – to be immersed in wine for every certification I can earn – is it.
The only example I can give is my browser tabs. I have about five windows open on two different browsers, and each window has anywhere from six to a dozen tabs displayed. My current projects are alternative wine closures (saw the dead horse. decided to beat it.), and because I’m currently studying for the California Wine Appellation Specialist certification, all things related to California wine regions. To those of you who may not realize it, there’s a LOT more to California wine than Napa and Sonoma.
My tabs are also open to every certifying body in the wine world, including “The Court” (Court of Master Sommeliers), Society of Wine Educators, Wine and Spirits Education Trust, Guild of Sommeliers, Institute of the Masters of Wine, etc., etc., etc.
There are tabs open to my other current research projects that I will blog on sometime in the next couple of weeks. However, I have to get the wine before I do. Dammit.
And that’s all I had to say with this post. I’m obsessed and on track. Wish me luck.
